OnCourse for technology event
Two high profile technology entrepreneurs are lined up as speakers at the next OnCourse Innovation Leadership event.
Ryan O’Meara of Independent Digital Media and Ben Randal of OuterArc have both utilised digital and wireless technologies to generate business growth. They will be the guest speakers at the event run by Nottingham Development Enterprise (NDE) on September 3.
Independent Digital Media (IDM) helps businesses use digital media to reduce costs and grow the bottom line. IDM works with companies to understand their core business and offers simple solutions to improve existing processes, from sourcing reliable suppliers on the web to achieving high volumes of targeted customer enquiries through Facebook, YouTube or Twitter.
"For us, digital or new media isn't second nature, it's first, says Ryan O’Meara, the brainchild behind IDM. "We get monumental satisfaction from going in to companies and not only demystifying digital, but also revealing to business leaders the sheer scale of opportunities at their fingertips which they didn't even know existed."
OuterArc, a young start up company based in the innovation centre at BioCity, leverages some of the latest advances in the socialweb, mobile platforms and real-time device connectivity to help create the future vision of the smart grid and meet the world’s future energy needs.
"We want to make the world a more energy efficient place to live by asking businesses how much energy they are using," says Ben Randal, CEO of OuterArc. "Our applications can be used by businesses of all sizes plus organisations with large customer bases such as energy utility companies."
Funding from Greater Nottingham Partnership (GNP) will provide financial security for the OnCourse Innovation Leadership series until 2011.
